A Call To Concerned Citizens

May 30th, 2008 by BenSix

Mr Stop Boris has already detailed Boris’s failure to release details of the pay of his “interim staff”, but we didn’t wish to be purely negative. The Mayor, after all, can only listen to us if we make the effort to talk to him.

In his campaign materials, Boris promised that he would “make City Hall more accountable”. Well, this is your chance - as a concerned and conscientious citizen - to help. If you’d like some honesty from the new administration, then merely dash off an missive (or even telephone call) enquiring as to the pay of Boris’s “interim staff” and we’ll see if we can get some answers from “the Mayor who listens”.

Of course, it’s a drearily minor task but that does mean that it’s a mercifully brief one.

If all else fails, there is always the freedom of information act. I might have to draw up a request if we don’t get any response.

Email duly sent, should I expect an automated ‘out of office’ reply?
He does seem to be quite Dubya-like in his state of near permanent vacation.

I haven’t even had that. Is it possible that Tim Parker has quietly sacked the automated reply?

The details of their pay have now been revealed, and you can see why they tried to keep them secret.
