Cringe your way through this (from Homovision.tv) if you want. He clearly hasn’t a clue what he’s on about whenever he strays off his few pre-prepared one-liners.

Bob Crow, who leads the RMT union, representing vast swathes of Underground and National Rail workers, popped up as a guest on this afternoon’s Ken Livingstone programme on LBC 97.3.

Boris has taken part in an excrutiating interview with the US magazine Human Events. The interviewer seems to see the external world as a Wodehouse novel without the dark overtones.
The European Union is “wacky” and a Boris gaffe made for “a great “Top Gear” quote“, but we are assured he’s “dead serious” nonetheless.

Via the Londonist I see that Boris has reversed a decision to close 40 Tube ticket offices. The closure was announced last year, with the TfL citing their redundance after the success of the Oyster smart card, but was followed by complaints from passenger groups and trade unions.

As I predicted after the May elections, RMT leader Bob Crow is directly challenging Boris. More than 700 cleaners employed by four sub-contractors are striking, demanding that hourly rates are raising £5.50 to £7.20.
