Via Mayorwatch and the Tory Troll, I note that Kit Malthouse, as Vice-Chairman of the Metropolitan Police Authority, has pocketed a tidy £55k a year extra thanks to Boris taking over as Chairman. Congratulations to Mr. Malthouse on what must be a very welcome windfall in these difficult times, and we look forward to hearing less of his schemes to build airports in the wrong place and more of how he plans to sort out the dysfunctional senior echelons of the Metropolitan Police, since that’s what we’re paying him nearly a hundred grand a year to do. Get cracking, Kit.
