It’s all kicking off – Adam Bienkov’s first piece on Comment is Free gets put on the front page, then Tim Ireland, who’s evidently lost patience, invites in the world’s most unlikely mob (mostly consisting of the kind of bloggers I’ve read and admired for years, guys like Justin McKeating (see his post) and 5CC – main targets : lying politicians and the corrupt media) to ask Andrew Gilligan to simply deny he’s a sockpuppeteer.
The result is hilarious, in a Jeremy Paxman/Michael Howard way. Well done to Adam for getting such a high-profile spot for his first CiF piece. 62 comments and counting.
When you’ve read that, laugh at some Nazis, too. It’s Friday and I’ve got about ten posts to write on here about Oyster, buses and Boris’s cycling policy multiple personality disorder, but frankly I just want a laugh.
Oh, and I was in the audience for Have I Got News For You This week. Spot my legs behind Hislop’s bald spot. The recording went on for three hours and I was hoarse by the end – they’re going to have to cut some seriously funny stuff. There was even a Boris reference. 9pm BBC1, plus repeats.
